Romina Peremin

Since I can remember, I have been immersed in the world of imagination, colors, drawing and painting… And during my growing up and choosing what I want to do in life, I followed only one direction – the art.

After my formal art education, I started experimenting with different art techniques and styles, but I was always returning to hyperrealism, i.e. photorealism (a genre that reproduce the image resembling high-resolution photography) and I have been polishing this demanding art genre for several years now.

At the beginning of my professional career I painted still lifes, later I continued with more complex motives, such as portraits of pets, perfecting my technique and skill. And now, here I am, working in an extremely demanding field – making human portraits.

I especially enjoy this delicate artistic expression since a portrait, according to the definition, in addition to faithfully depicting a certain person, also brings a psychological characterization of the person. And to achieve that moment, the real skill is required.

Therefore, I am very happy when the person for whom the portrait is intended recognizes that moment and feels profoundly moved. In that way, the special, lasting memory is created…

During my membership in various art associations, such as “Grupa 69”, “Mansarda” and “Fortuna art”, I was exhibiting several times in well-known art spaces such as the Kristofor Stanković Gallery in the Old Town Hall in Zagreb, the gallery of European House and Gallery Vladimir Filakovac.
